Beki Baker, Chair of Lipscomb Department of Theater

"Rachel is the ideal kind of artist you want to work with: focused, intentional, and one who takes the work seriously but not herself in it. I have had the pleasure of teaching her in several classes, and she pushes herself to take risks and dive into characterization."

Upcoming Projects!!

Smoke: A Ballad of the Night Riders
Sept 24th - Oct 4th, 2025
The Bell Witch Festival

I'm excited to be performing in an outdoor historical drama this fall, with a compelling bluegrass score on the grounds where these events took place. "In a story that still unfolds today, SMOKE: The Ballad of the Night Riders, sheds light on the corporate greed that turned farmer against farmer, brother against brother, and gave rise to the masked vigilantes: The Night Riders"

The National Theatre for Children
Oct 20th - Nov 17th, 2025
Ft Worth, TX

This fall, I will be going on tour with The National Theatre for Children. I am looking forward to educating children in the great state of Texas with one of the largest touring theatre companies in the country.

What you need to know about me:

1) I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and in the fifth grade, I landed my first role as a Florist in Aladdin Jr.2) I love Jesus, and my faith is the driving force behind my work! I strive to create art that reflects His heart for the world.3) I am a self-taught visual artist, and in my spare time, I can be found scrapbooking, crocheting a very long scarf, or doing watercolor commissions.4) I am a big fan of small-town thrift stores, ordering cold brew in the middle of January, sending snail mail, dancing like a fool with my friends, and bringing my Kindle everywhere I go.
